About Annette
For Annette, every room is an opportunity: for personal expression, for beauty, for style. As an interior designer and home decor expert, her constant aim is to create spaces for her clients that reflect their unique individuality. She brings her own expertise and refined sensibility to every project – a sophisticated merging of vintage textiles, couture fashion, exotic travel and the ease of the California lifestyle – but her goal is to create a room just for you. Annette believes that your home should be a layering of your style, your memories, your personality, your life. She wants every client to walk into a finished room and say: This feels like me.
Born in Los Angeles, Annette studied design at UCLA and then worked in the furniture and home textile industries, where she cultivated her passion for rich fabrics, dazzling prints and vibrant color. In 1994, she put her artistry and skill into action by launching Annette Tatum Collections, her home décor business, and designing a line of elegant bedding. In 2008, Annette wrote her first book, The Well Dressed Home. Throughout it all, Annette worked as an interior designer, blending sophistication, modernity, comfort and luxury to create her distinctive look. Her inimitable style and expertise have led her to design rooms for celebrity clients and appear in several magazines.
When she’s not at home with her husband and four children in Santa Monica, Annette can be found in her studio working on interior design projects or creating new products for her collection. Let us make your bed. Literally. When you place a bedding order, that’s when we make it, with a real person, sewing it by hand, here in Los Angeles, creating it just for you. This is bespoke bedding. It is our original designs, printed on 100-percent cotton, all made in California, U.S. A. It is made just for you. That is the kind of care we put into our products.
Everything we create is carefully considered. From duvets to paint colors, Annette uses her passion for color and print combined with the ease of the California lifestyle to define Annette Tatum Collections. Driven by a keen eye for style, Annette constantly seeks inspiration, developing new designs each season to keep our line current, stylish and fresh. We do it for you.
For our child and nursery decor, Annette uses a special kind of expertise – the knowledge uniquely gained as a mother of four. Simply put: she gets it. She gets kids, she gets parenting, she gets the balance of designing a room that is at once practical and posh. As a result, our Little House products feature prints that embrace childhood’s innocence and wonder.
